Project Summary

Creative Minds is a design-focused conference aimed at connecting emerging and professional creatives through collaboration and shared learning. This project involved creating a cohesive visual identity and promotional system that communicates inspiration, accessibility, and professionalism across digital and print platforms. The final brand supports audience engagement, strengthens recognition, and promotes the conference as a welcoming space for creative growth.

The challenge

The challenge was to create a cohesive visual identity that could connect with a diverse creative audience while clearly communicating the purpose and value of the Creative Minds conference. The branding needed to appeal to students, emerging designers, and professionals alike, while remaining approachable, professional, and inspiring.

Thumbnails & Sketches

Early concepts were explored through quick hand-drawn thumbnails to experiment with different directions, compositions, and visual ideas. This stage focused on generating a wide range of possibilities without overthinking, allowing me to explore symbolism and how the “CM” could be represented in a creative and meaningful way. Through this process, the paintbrush concept emerged as the strongest solution, representing creativity, connection, and growth.

Digital Roughs

Selected concepts were then refined digitally to explore typography, color, and overall composition. This stage focused on testing different logo variations, improving clarity, and ensuring the design would work across multiple applications. Through iteration, the final direction was simplified and strengthened to create a cohesive and versatile brand identity.

Promotional Items

Branded promotional materials were designed to extend the identity beyond the logo and create a cohesive experience across physical touchpoints. Items such as tote bags, notebooks, and pens were developed to reflect the brand’s visual language while remaining functional and engaging. These applications demonstrate how the identity translates consistently across real-world materials, reinforcing brand recognition and usability.
